Welcome to St. George's Care Centre

St George’s Care Centre is a purpose built, 76-bedded Care Centre located on Northgate Lane, in the residential area of Moorside, Oldham. It is approximately three miles away from Oldham town centre and is situated close to local shops and amenities. There are excellent public transport links to Oldham and Manchester. The Centre is situated close to local shops, local amenities and has good access to local transport routes.

Mrs Cheryl Newsome RMN is the Registered Manager of the Care Centre, Cheryl is supported by a committed team of qualified nurses who provide and lead the care offered on all of the units 24 hours a day. Cheryl is assisted by the Deputy Manager, Mr Martyn Davies RMN. Each unit has a team of carers and other health professionals that work as part of the multi-disciplinary team alongside the nursing staff to meet the assessed needs of each individual and provide the highest possible standards of care to the service users. All carers are encouraged to undertake qualifications related to their role.

The Nominated Individual for St George’s Care Centre is Ian Forshaw.

"My aunt who had a very bad stroke over five years ago and was left paralysed, unable to speak or swallow and so eventually had to be peg fed. She was in St Georges Care Center in Moorside, Oldham and I cannot praise them high enough, she was treated with kindness, care and dignity even that all she could do was smile. The staff have been wonderful for all of those years, she never had any skin problems due to their attention to her needs. I would recommend them highly."
